App and Firmware Update
Before troubleshooting, make sure you are running the latest firmware on each of the speakers, and you have the latest version of the Edifier Home app. For instructions on app download and firmware update, please click here.
Reset to factory settings
Always reset the speaker to factory settings before continuing with the troubleshooting process. This can be done in the Edifier Home app under the 'settings' of each speaker, or press and hold the 'play/pause' button for 6 seconds.
Stereo pairing unsuccessful
Make sure you are running the latest firmware on each of the speakers, and you have the latest version of the Edifier Home app.
For Edifier Home app, check AppStore (iOS) or Google Play Store (android) for app updates.
To update speaker firmware, In your Edifier Home app, click on each of the speakers to get into speaker details page. The app should prompt you for a firmware update automatically. If it doesn't prompt for the update, you may try resetting the speakers to factory defaults under 'settings' and try again.
How do I remove a buzz in the speaker?
Edifier speakers have low-noise characteristics, and the noise of some audio sources is several times higher than that of speakers. Therefore, connect the speaker to different grounded power supply and sound sources during the inspection, and then turn on the volume. Noises from the speaker should not be audible 1 meter away.
Cannot find “EDIFIER MS50A” when in Bluetooth Mode on my device?
To troubleshoot the problem, please check if the speaker is turned on or in Bluetooth mode. If yes, please follow the steps to solve the problem.
Long press the volume “…” icon to disconnect the Bluetooth device may be connected and search for “EDIFIER MS50A” again.
Disconnect the power source and reconnect.
Switch to Bluetooth input, and search for “EDIFIER MS50A” again.
No sound from the speaker?
Please check whether the power plug is properly inserted, and the power switch is turned on.
Please check whether the audio source and the connection line are normal.
Please check whether the audio signal output is normal.
Please check whether the sound volume of the speaker or audio source has been muted or has low volume.
Please disconnect the speaker power and restart it.
Can it skip tracks forward and backward?
You can skip forward and backward by the function on your device and the '<' and '>' icons on the speaker itself are for the previous/next song only.
