Receiving no sound when connected to a TV source

If you are connecting an audio source via optical cable (smart TV) and have no volume produced through the speakers, a TV audio settings adjustment can resolve this. Go into your TV’s audio settings, looking for “digital audio format”. If you are using Dolby Digital or Dolby Plus, this is not a compatible format. You must choose PCM or ‘Pulse Code Modulation’ instead.
